Recently we became a proud Internet Defense League member. What does it mean?

It means that we share the same thoughts as the rest of IDL members. In particular, we believe in freedom of speech and the right to be anonymous in the Internet. Now days there are companies who’s goal is to privatize the information. They are lobbying laws and pushing legal grounds to support their intentions. SOPA, DMCA, CISPA and other acts where especially developed to control Internet Service Providers and website owners.

IDL represents the opposite side and tries to defend our interests, mainly by helping people to be aware and react fast, sing petitions against upcoming legal threats to our privacy. So we joined The Internet Defense League in order to spread the word and help people to know what’s happening right now.

New location for VPN servers in US

Finally it has happened, we deployed new VPN servers in Florida, US. This time our goal was to get really scalable solution, so we ordered a mini-cloud. It can grow in a minutes to support thousands of simultaneous users who needs a VPN access in US.

Cloud Computing

Big improvement of the new setup is about IP address pool. When user connects to the VPN we choose available IP address and assign one to user. It means that potentially our clients will switch their IPs every time they connect to the server. Now we are on the mission to add more IP address to the pool.

New provider allows us to increase throughput as well, so let’s see how it can help to make connection quality better.

In order to provide reliable connection and 99% of uptime architecture of the service should be failure safe.
