According to latest news Liberty Reserve payment system shutdown has happened on Friday 24th of May. The owner was arrested as part of a money laundering investigation performed jointly by police agencies in the United States and Costa Rica.

It is claimed that Liberty Reserve was financed by money from child pornography and drug trafficking. But we also know that it has been used by many people to exchange Bitcoins. Also it is already not the first time US government attacks Bitcoins indirectly. For instance, last time Mt.Gox Dwolla account was frozen by US Homeland security.

Server migration has been completed

Recently some Demonoid ex-members received an email which claims that Demonoid is going to be back. Is it true or not?

Honestly, this message looks like a scam. But you have all freedom to check. New Demonoid domain name supposed to be d2.vu. Now it points to 127.0.0.1. Usually administrator does that to protect server from DDoS attack, but we are not sure that is the case now.

New VPN server in Hong Kong

We had VPN servers in America and Europe, but till recent time we had no servers in Asia. It was decided to support our customers in Asia by deploying new VPN server in Hong Kong.

New server is still in testing mode, but you already can start using it from China and South Korea. In order to update connection settings, visit My VPN Access page and run Automatic Setup again. New server should be already in the list.
